— The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to identify a suspect who grabbed a 13-year-old girl in Northeast Portland.

On Tuesday October 7, 2014, at 9:00 a.m., north precinct officers responded to the area of Northeast 82nd Avenue and Prescott Street on the report that a stranger grabbed a 13-year-old girl on the arm and told her he was going to take her home.

Several officers responded to the area and contacted the victim who told police that she was walking from one bus stop to another when the suspect yelled out to her something similar to, "Hey, come here!"

The girl refused and told the man to leave her alone. The girl told officers that the suspect got out of his car, grabbed her arm, and told her that he was going to take her home. The girl kicked the man, ran away and called for help.

Several officers searched the neighborhood but did not locate anyone matching the suspect's description.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 50s or 60s, 5'8" tall, 125 pounds, very thin, balding, bushy gray or partially gray hair, stubble on his face, and bad teeth. The suspect is described as wearing a gray, stained t-shirt and gray pants. The suspect did not imply or display any weapons.

The suspect vehicle is described as a light blue, mid-90s four-door vehicle.

A forensic sketch of the suspect is being released to aid in this investigation.

Witnesses may contact the investigators directly or, to remain anonymous, they may provide information through Crime Stoppers of Oregon.
