— Today at 12:33pm Clackamas Fire responded to reports of a fully involved apartment fire at 10225 SE 66th Ave off King Rd in Milwaukie.

Upon arrival firefighters reported fire on the back exterior of a four unit, two story, townhouse structure with heavy smoke coming from the front doors of two units.

Due to the large volume of fire, and the extension of fire into the common attic space, a second alarm assignment was called as firefighters worked quickly to control the fast moving fire.

All of the 16 residents of the four units escaped the fire or were not at home at the time of the fire.

One resident received a minor injury when she tripped over the fire hose, and one firefighter escaped injury when a portion of the ceiling collapse on him.

The fire was brought under control in just over 30 minutes with assistance from both Portland Fire and Gladstone Fire.

The Red Cross was on scene helping to provide shelter for the displaced residents. Cause of the fire remains under investigation.
