Dead Body Found at Vancouver Recycling Center

Vancouver Police say it appears the body had been transported to the facility in a load of refuse.

— Police in Vancouver, Washington are investigating the discovery of a body at a Recycling Center Wednesday night.

Police were called to the West Van Materials Recovery Center located at 6601 NW Old Lower River Road, after workers discovered a deceased male on the sorting conveyor belt on one of the machines.

Vancouver Police say it appears the body had been transported to the facility in a load of refuse. The deceased is described as a white, adult male between the ages of 45 and 55.

He was transported from the scene to the Clark County Medical Examiner's office for autopsy.

His identity has yet to be determined.
