Oregon Student Documents Hit-List; Police Say No Evidence Found of Planned Attacks

— The Sherwood Police Department was notified by a mandatory report on Wednesday, of threatening statements found in the home of a Sherwood student.

The threats were documented on a piece of paper and titled, "my hit-list". The list contained the names of 23 individuals.

The Sherwood Police Department acted immediately to the report and responded to the residence. A thorough search of the residence was conducted, and nothing found to indicate any planning had gone into following through with the "hit list".

After conferring with the Washington County District Attorney's office, investigators determined there would be no criminal charges filed at this time.

The Sherwood School District was notified of the "hit-list" and have made required notifications to the necessary individuals affected by the list

The Sherwood Police Department in partnership with the Sherwood School District will continue to monitor this incident and will take the appropriate action if further information or evidence is discovered.

Because of privacy concerns and student confidentiality, The Sherwood Police Department will have no further comments on the incident at this time.
