A robbery of the Key Bank on Portland rd occurred about 2:30 Wednesday afternoon. While law enforcement actively searched for the bank robber, a Salem Officer spotted a subject trying to duck down in a car that was leaving the area.

A malfunction caused 4000 gallons of untreated sewage to be discharged into the Willamette River Tuesday. Signs have been posted warning people to avoid contact with the Willamette River water due to potentially high levels of bacteria.

On Sept. 14 the Marion County Commissioners issued a level 3 evacuation order for Breitenbush Hot Springs and the Breitenbush Summer Homes. The decision was made after weather experts determined a risk for thunder and lightening in the Santiam Canyon.

Utah Man Arrested for Wildland Arson OSP Seeks Assistance

On August 29, 2017, an investigation began into four wildland fires that occurred along the Highway 97 between the area of Lava River Cave and Mile Post 180 south of La Pine, Oregon. Through a collaborative law enforcement effort and information obtained from the public, a suspect was developed.
