UPDATE: Highway 22E Near Mill City CLOSED for Next 10 to 12 Hours
(October 1, 2014, 9:00 am) MILL CITY, Ore. A commercial truck transporting a 70,000 pound condenser by Bigge Crane and Rigging Company was traveling downhill when the rear car started to swerve and lost control.

Highway 22E three miles west of Mill City is partially blocked while workers try to clear a commercial truck crash in which a 70,000 pound cylindrical condenser rolled onto the highway.

A semi-trailer loaded with 42,000 lbs of apples destined for the east coast was heavily damaged Saturday after it caught fire along the eastbound lanes of Interstate 84 about three miles east of The Dalles. The fire response closed the eastbound lanes for about an hour.
