Oregon State Police confirmed this morning through Salem Hospital that passenger , Cary Marie Fairchild age 64, from Portland, died at the hospital where she has been treated since the September 24, 2014 traffic crash.

Marion County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the 6200 Block of Silverton Rd last night at approximately 11:56 P.M. Deputies initially received a call from a citizen driving on Silverton Road who reported a male subject walking in the roadway. While deputies were responding they received information there was a veh icle that crashed into a field in the same area.

The Salem Police Department is on scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident on Center St NE at Illinois St NE involving a single vehicle v. pedestrian. Center St NE will be closed from Vinyard St NE to Hawthorne Ave NE for the next 3 hours while the Traffic Control Unit of the Salem Police Department investigates the incident.

A probable fatal accident has Center St closed between Vinard St. NE and Hawthorn St. NE. There are no confirmed fatalaties at this time.
(October 3, 2014, 11:00 am) PLEASANT HILL, Ore. Slow moving striping equipment will be working between 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4 and Sunday, Oct. 5.
A nighttime highway striping operation will reduce lanes and create short delays for motorists and bicyclists on OR 58 between Pleasant Hill and Dexter, in Lane County this weekend.
