A fast moving wildfire that broke out around 9:00 p.m. Friday night, had fire crews battling high winds and rough terrain near Chip Ross Park and the Timberhill neighborhood in north Corvallis.
(September 6, 2014, 12:09 pm) BEAVERTON, Ore. A Washington County Sheriff's Detective discovered the July 27 fire was intentionally set in a recycling area and quickly spread to the carport.
Washington County Sheriff's Detectives arrested a young boy accused of causing significant arson damage, and is also believed to have started several other fires in the area.

Corvallis Police say an uncontained wildfire in the north Corvallis area has led them to issue a mandatory evacuation order for an area in the northern portion of Corvallis and Benton County.
