Oregon State University Athletics announced on Monday, the return of the popular BeaversSalute outreach for the home football game Sept. 20 against the San Diego State Aztecs, and to the women’s volleyball games Sept. 12 vs. the Michigan Wolverines and Sept. 13 vs. the Michigan State Spartans.

(September 8, 2014, 5:38 pm) San Francisco The San Francisco 49ers announced on Monday they have signed wide receiver Kassim Osgood to a one-year deal.

LaMichael James was originally drafted by the 49ers in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft.

In the AP poll of media, Oregon moved up one spot to No. 2 this week. The Ducks received 16 first-place votes, and trailed No. 1 Florida State by 48 points, 1,463 to 1,415.

(September 7, 2014, 9:58 pm) NEWBERG, Ore. The Bruins opened the game on defense and shut down the Firestorm in the opening drive after Adrian Bonner intercepted a pass and put GFU in great field position.

In its first game in over 46 years, George Fox University hosted NAIA member Arizona Christian University in record heat and a crowd of 3,659 excited fans at the newly built Stoffer Family Stadium.

Beavers Fall to Marquette, 1-0

The Oregon State men’s soccer team was unable to overcome an early deficit, as the Beavers fell to Marquette 1-0 Sunday afternoon in Milwaukee, Wis.

Bearcats Get First Win of the Season
(September 7, 2014, 9:51 pm) OLYMPIA, Wash. Willamette returns to the pitch on Friday, September 12th, for their home opener against the University of California-Santa Cruz.

After scoring in just the second minute of the contest and putting in the game-winner in the 53rd minute, Willamette University earned their first win of the season, defeating The Evergreen State College, 2-1.

(September 7, 2014, 9:50 pm) EUGENE, Ore. Oregon struck first in the 15th minute when Cal State Fullerton got called for a hand ball.

Brooke Strawn headed home the game-winning goal in the 109th minute to give the Ducks the 2-1 victory over Cal State Fullerton Sunday afternoon at Papé Field.

Boxers Bite Warriors, 1-0
(September 7, 2014, 9:30 pm) FOREST GROVE, Ore. While playing in their sixth-straight road contest to begin the 2014 season, the Warriors suffered just their second loss.

The Corban University women's soccer team traveled to play Pacific University on Sunday afternoon, and in a tight non-conference affair, the Warriors fell to the Boxers, 1-0.
